SECOND ANNUAL 48-HOUR SHORT FILM CONTEST DETAILS ANNOUNCED
The UNLV Short Film Archive will present the Second Annual 48-Hour Short Film Contest on November 4-6, 2005. Deadline for entries is Friday, October 28, 5pm. The contest is open to anyone. Filmmakers and their teammates show up at 5:30 pm on Friday, November 4 and draw from a hat the elements they are required to use in their shorts: a genre, a character, a prop and a line of dialogue. They then have exactly 48 hours to write, cast, find locations, shoot, edit, score and then turn in the finished short films at 6pm on Sunday, November 6. Starting at 6:30, all the finished shorts will be screened and judged and winners will be announced. Winning films will be aired on the new 30-minute TV show produced by David Schmoeller and the UNLV Short Film Archive called "SHORTS FROM FABULOUS LAS VEGAS".
